JARRED HOLMES RETURNS AND SPECIAL PROGRAMME TO BE PUBLISHED FOR MERTHYR TOWN GAME !
The news keeps coming thick and fast from Stoke Lane and today two more stories emerged from the Bill Stokeld Stadium.
First the management announced they had completed the signing of Jarred Holmes who was part of their playoff winning team at Coalville Town. There was a clue at the Charity match when Holmes played in Carlton’s midfield although we are told agreement with the player was only concluded today.
Tommy Brookbanks told us ” Jarred played for me and Mark at several clubs so we know what he’s about and played the whole season for us in the Coalville promotion campaign. Jarred is technically very gifted and adds something different to our already excellent midfield department”
Jarred as played for the club in the past, but not for any consistent length of time and we are sure the Supporters club will have some stats on that one, but the club welcomes him back and hopes he can make a significant impact in the forthcoming season.
In a second bit of news coming from the ground today, we are being told that the club will produce a programme for the Merthyr Town friendly, it will give the club the chance to reflect with the help of Lou’s pictures on the charity day and with the Phil Jennings Merthyr connection, it is a significant first ever fixture between the two clubs and we understand from Talksports Jonny Owen, who was obviously at the ground last weekend supporting the Charity day, that a significant number of supporters are traveling down from Merthyr and stopping in Nottingham overnight.
This website understands that Merthyr will be asked to contribute to the content of a very special edition for a very special friendly on Saturday 24th July at Stoke Lane 3pm.https://www.carltontownfc.co.uk/news/busy-summer-beckons-at-stoke-lane-as-club-comfirm-schedule/
