KELLY”S TEAM WINS GOLF DAY AND SUPPORTS FIREWORK EXTRAVAGANZA!

A massive thankyou to Carlton Town supporter and regular Matchday sponsor Kelly who has answered Boatsy’s plea for help towards the Firework Extravaganza and she has kindly donated £500 towards the cost of putting on the evening.

The cost of the Fireworks has substantially increased this year and the Millers were reluctant to put up ticket prices due to the cost of living crisis, so a big thankyou to Kelly who has stepped up to the plate.

Dave Hodgson is also attempting to raise money towards the cost of staging this brilliant event and tickets are set to go on sale, hopefully this coming weekend.

Such is the support now given to the Millers from Kelly, that KELLY MARIE MORTGAGE SOLUTIONS will now be added to the club’s official list of main sponsors which appears on this website.

Just to add another fantastic twist to the tale, Kelly ‘s team listed as the Senior Citizens won the club’s golf day at Oakmere Park on Friday with a brilliant score of 90. Roger Smiths team came in second with a score of 86 and Phil James representing Aero Com UK came third with 85.

Nearest the pin prizes were won by Joe Mitchell, Alex Piziura, Andy Twells and Mark Northern.

Chairman Mick Garton was joined by Marstons, Carlsberg representative Gareth Price for the big prize draw and banter was a plenty during an entertaining draw which raised over £400 for the club, crucial money in these challenging times.

President Roger Smith thanked Gareth for his kind sponsorship and also that from Msr Newsgroup who donated prizes for both the golf and the draw., Lou Lardi was thanked by both Mick and Roger for the Photography and the Chairman thanked and praised Roger for all his work in organising this 18th annual event.

Kelly’s team are pictured in the clubhouse at Oakmere Park after being announced as winners !
