LEDGENDARY CLUB CAPTAIN RETURNS AS PART OF THE NEW ERA AT CARLTON TOWN.
Former legendary club captain Martin Ball is returning to Carlton Town under the stewardship of Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey.
Ball is still only 32 and was highly praised by Commitee man Tim Bee for his performance for Clifton All Whites in their cup final which they lost to high flying Newark Flowserve the other week.
Bee described Ball as clearly the best player on the pitch and given he has shed weight and is determined to give it one last crack, Brookbanks and Harvey have not only added him to their coaching staff, but Ball is determined to prove to the joint managers he still has a part to play on the pitch.
They will give him every chance to prove his fitness during preseason and he openly admits in his exclusive interview with Carlton Town Tv that he fancied a crack at the Carlton managers job himself.
It is another bold move by the new management duo and the press department here is struggling to keep up with them, given the amount of information and press releases they are putting our way, but no complaints here, it is our pleasure to keep supporters up to date and our understanding is that this will continue as the new duo make their mark on the football club.
