LONG DISTANCE SUPPORTERS BOXING DAY BOOST FOR MILLERS!

Carlton Town were boosted at Ilkeston Town with the appearance of two long distance supporters (pictured) with Sam from Manchester and Kieran who currently lives in Newcastle returning to Nottingham to support the Millers.

Sam also works on stats for the Supporters club website and was previously a steward at Stoke Lane when studying at Nottingham University, he is also a fan of his local club, Fc United of Manchester who have played the Millers only once , a Grant Brindley goal giving Carlton a fantastic and famous midweek victory in the league cup a few years ago at Stoke Lane in driving rain in front of over 300 people.

Sam caught up with Supporters Club Chief Alan Murphy who was on fire at the game and Millers Chairman Mick Garton who was delighted to hear much of Sam’s wisdom throughout the afternoon.

Sam had previously watched Carlton at Glossop and told us, how impressed he was with the team and their performances during the first half of the season, Kieran too was equally impressed and delighted to be among Alan’s clan for the tough away outing at Ilkeston Town.

Sam also commented on the warmth and togetherness of the Carlton Town Family from the players to the staff and Commitee and it would be no surprise to see Sam and Kieran back with us before the end of the season!
