LOTS OF BIG NAMES LINED UP FOR FIRST BIG BANK HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER AFTER LOCKDOWN ENDS!

Friend of the club Gary ‘Boatsy’ Clarke as been working hard putting together a high profile star studded football match to raise money for Carlton Town and Charity “World Game Changers” for when the Lockdown ends and Supporters are allowed back into grounds.

Given the current uncertainty, Boatsy has plumped for the last of the upcoming bank holiday weekends to give the event the biggest chance of going ahead with Sunday 30th May the chosen date.

“I’m aware the club has not been able to put on any fund raising events for a year and how difficult things are, so  I have managed to make a few calls and we have put together a team of stars to take on Tommy and Marks Carlton Town boys”

“Former Nottingham Forest favourites, Paul McKenna, Paul McGregor, John Thompson, Marlon Harewood, Colin Barrett and Andy Reid are among the big names hoping to be involved along with Nottinghamshire Cricketer Luke Fletcher, comedian Matt Forde and Boxer Leigh wood”

“The celebrity 11 will be managed by none other than Charlie McParland and we have pencilled in Talk Sport presenter and filmmaker Johnny Owen and Tv star Vicky McClure (filming commitments permitting) to make a guest appearance and draw the raffle, which we are working hard on, in an effort to secure some cracking prizes for the big after match draw and Auction” Boatsy told us.

“Admission to the big match will be by a donation on the gate and people can pay as little as as a pound to come in, it will be completely up to people what they want to donate, everyone knows about the club and their vital role in the community and we will tell you more about the fine Charity in the coming weeks” Boatsy continued.

Live music including a Dj Set by Top Dj Sanj Beri is planned for what Boatsy says will be a family fun day, along with a Bouncy Castle and BBQ and the event is to be kindly sponsored by Gregory House in Carrington and Boatsy is most grateful to Collette for her kind support, he is hoping it will be a fantastic Sunday afternoon at Stoke Lane.
