MAJOR BOOK SIGNING FOR OUR MAIN SPONSORS!
Our main sponsors over many years Msr Newsgroup have today announced their biggest book signing ever.
They have previously secured signings with many of the Nottingham Forest European Cup winning players including goal scorers in both finals, John Robertson and more recently Trevor Francis whose book is still on sale at their stores at Angel Row Nottingham, Radcliffe Road West Bridgford, Front Street Arnold and Mercer Row Louth.
The club got fantastic press coverage in Lincolnshire for their 2017 signing session with former World Cup Final referee Howard Webb in Louth.
In 2018, Carlton Chairman and Msr Newsgroup Managing Director Mick Garton met with former Nottinghamshire and England cricketer and now selector James Taylor and received signed copies of his book which has now all but sold out at Msr.
Today however, Mick topped all those when he secured a signing with former England Cricket captain and record run scorer Alastair Cook who has just brought out his autobiography.
Garton met Cook in Nottingham recently and can today announce that Msr Newsgroup now have signed copies of Alastair’s new book which will be maintained at the books cover price at £20.
On line copies will be slightly more to take into consideration commission costs and postage and Msr will donate a copy to the club’s Christmas Luncheon on Friday 6th December at Stoke Lane with Paul Hart.
Copies will be on sale at Garton’s final Dj set of the year at the Dragon this coming Sunday 24th November when tickets will also be on sale for Carlton’s big Christmas draw.
The books will also be on sale at Msr Stores mentioned above and Garton gave us a brief statement. “This is a fantastic opportunity for our customers to secure a signed book at the retail price in 4 of our 6 remaining stores and I am delighted Alastair agreed to the signing after I met him at the Southbank (Friar Lane) recently”
“A massive thankyou to Nottinghamshire and former England cricketer Samit Patel for doing the groundwork for this and to Tom and Owen at the Southbank for helping me follow this up and of course Alistar for agreeing to this and in affect supporting one of the smaller operators in the signed memorabilia and merchandise industry” concluded Garton
