MILLERS AND BELPER BOTH WIN 2-0 TO SET THINGS NICELY UP FOR TUESDAY NIGHT

Carlton Town got themselves back to winning ways with a cracking 2-0 away win at Ossett United while top of the table Belper Town continued their superb run by beating Bridlington 2-0 in Derbyshire.

The two results set things up perfectly for Tuesday’s big local Derby at Stoke Lane 7.45pm. Carlton move up to 10th following their 2-0 win, while Belper remain top. Carlton do however have games in hand and although those games in hand only count if you get points from them, the Millers will be looking forward to really testing themselves against currently the best team in the league.

Goals from Liam Dinnall-Bateman and Club Captain Niall Davie (pictured) saw the Millers home with the negative being the sending off of Khyle Sargent for a second yellow card, which meant the Millers had to play the last 11 minutes plus stoppage time with only 10 men.

It was during that time that Niall got Carlton’s second goal and help set them up for an exciting run of home games against some teams currently in playoff positions.

Excitement is already building ahead of Tuesday night and the club can confirm, the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar will also show the massive European Championship game between England and Italy which will hopefully lead to Finals qualification for the Three lions.

This website can also confirm that the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup tie between holders Newark and Sherwood and Carlton Town will now take place on Tuesday 7th November in Newark.

We will commence the build up to Tuesdays big game during the remainder of the weekend, but for now a big well done to the Millers for an excellent and important away win.
