MILLERS CLOSE IN ON PLAYOFF PLACE WITH THIRD CONSECUTIVE WIN ON BITCOIN DAY !

Before we start saying what a wonderful day Saturday 6th April proved to be, we need to pay tribute to a few people whose work on the pitch particularly on Friday helped make it all happen.

Adam from Southwell Racecourse took a day’s holiday from work on Friday to help prepare the Millers pitch after some more heavy rain in the last few days, supporter Johnathon and his son were equally committed and with the help of groundsman Kris and Clerky (pictured) on Saturday morning, the work they did with the instructions once again from John Gorman and Steve Birks at Trent Bridge, pretty much made the game possible, a massive thankyou to you all from everyone at Stoke Lane.

The Bitcoin Fest brought a whole host of new faces to Stoke Lane and hopefully they didn’t go home disappointed after an entertaining encounter certainly influenced by a gale force wind at times, kept fans on their toes.

The Bitcoin Fest proved a facinating side show to the main event, with guest speakers, workshops, a face painter, a singer, a magician and a DJ, what an afternoon and evening at the Bill Stokeld Stadium, the great man would have been proud.

The main event, well Carlton won that 2-0 courtesy of goals from captain Niall Davie and a penalty from Alex Hardwick and they are now just one point outside the playoffs with 7 games left to play.

A very special mention for our VIP guest, former Nottingham Forest European Cup Winner and later promotion winning manager Frank Clarke who was superb when interviewed by Millers Chairman Mick Garton in a packed Howard Mitchell Sportsbar prior to kick off.

The Millers are back at Stoke Lane on Tuesday night when Hebburn are the visitors 7.45pm, but for now we have some interviews for you with Mark Harvey, Chris from Bitcoin and man of the match Kyle Sargent all speaking to Carlton Town Tv.
