MILLERS GO DOWN AT IMPRESSIVE HEBBURN IN FIRST TRIP TO THE NORTH EAST

A long journey to Hebburn last season was the starting point for the Millers revival, but the boys could not repeat the result this time round on their first trip to the North East this season  and the Millers subsequently drop to 9th in the table.

The 3-0 defeat was not down to a lack of effort or quality as the Millers made several excellent chances , but fell down with the final ball or finish at Hebburn, after a four hour coach journey to a team who will no doubt be challenging for the title this season, they were impressive indeed, but the Millers made some rare mistakes at the back late in the game and Hebburn punished them with two late goals after Robbie Spence had initially given them the lead on 51 minutes.

Carlton Town fans were out in numbers with a near full coach and two mini buses making the trip and some fans made a weekend of it by stopping over.

Carlton Town Tv were out in force to with both Josh and Eamon covering the game for the Millers.

The pre match score predictions were a little off the mark, but positives interviews with Tommy and the Irish Supporters club after the game lifted the mood after the 3-0 defeat.

Carlton are away again next week when they travel to Nuneaton Borough again, this time in the Fa Trophy.

All the big interviews are below starting with joint manager Tommy Brookbanks.
