MILLERS PLAYERS COME UP WITH BRILLANT IDEA FOR THIRD KIT!
Carlton Town players led by Martin Ball, Daryl Thomas and Captain Tom Maddison have been brainstorming over the summer trying to come up with ideas to help the club.
The players realise the club have had no summer Speakers event, no Golf Day, no Pool Marathon, no Race day and no pre season money spinning games with spectators.
The money from these events means the club usually has a reasonable bank balance at the start of the season.
Martin Ball has got the cost of Carlton’s 3rd kit covered and so is raffling off the Sponsorship of it to help the club secure some vital Day to Day running costs ahead of the new season.
The club legend Martin Ball (pictured) himself gave us an exclusive statement ahead of the launch.
“We wanted to come up with something abit different around the sponsorship with the 3rd kit for this season and give the chance for smaller businesses and possibly a charity close to a supporters heart the chance to get some coverage whilst at the same time give the club some support in these difficult times. Mick has again shown his commitment to CTFC by sponsoring the away kit and the tracksuits and We’re hoping this will get the backing of the smaller business around the club in what is a good chance to get some good coverage for a business or charity for a very small cost per ticket” concluded Ball.
The players themselves will all attempt to sell some prize draw envelopes in the club’s first ever pre season draw at £10 each and are hoping that the committee and supporters will also get involved in the brand new Inative.
The first prize will be front of shirt Sponsorship for the third kit and the second prize, back of shirt Sponsorship.
The first prize could see an individual have his or her name on the shirt or the winner may nominate a company or even a charity to go on the shirt and the same applies to the second prize.
There are also three other Fantastic prizes in the draw with a £50 Hooters Voucher, a £30 Bombay voucher and a £20 Last Post Wetherspoons Voucher in what will be an historic draw.
People supporting the draw will be asked to place £10 in an envelope and enter their name and contact details on it, with the draw taking place sometime ahead of the club’s first league game which is expected to take place on Saturday 19th September.
Club President Roger Smith and Commercial Manager Brian Dennett already have envelopes to sell and others are expected to be given them in the coming days.
