MILLERS TO SUPPORT CHILDRENS CHARITY WHEN RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED!
Carlton Town have made the Bill Stokeld Stadium available for a Children’s Charity Football team on the evening of Thursday 27th May once spectators are allowed back in to support the event and to let the excellent Charity to start raising money again as like everyone else, they have been unable to hold any recent matches due to Covid 19 restrictions.
Carlton’s very own Phil Jennings asked Chairman Mick Garton if the club could help and he was happy to oblige for a “brilliant cause” and below the charities Roberto tells us a little more about the excellent work they do.
Since our conception in 2016 we have helped and supported numerous causes, which include The QMC’s Child Cancer Ward E39, The Rainbows Hospice, The Child Bereavement Centre, The Grenfell Disaster Fund, The Manchester Bombing Victims, and MIND Mental Health Support, to mention but a few.
Our charity work is not only solely football related, we have a Superhero team “The Angels” lead by Batman, we deliver gifts and presents within hospital wards during Christmas and additonally deliver Easter Eggs during the Easter period. “The Angels” have also made dreams come true making suprise appearances at birthday parties or just raising spirits with hospital visits.
Additonally we have our sponsored Ghost Busting team. Our brave volunteers get themselves sponsored to go Ghost Hunting in various infamous haunted bulding with professional paranormal investigators and record their findings. Weve had some amazing stuff come out this and it’s certinly a thrilling experience.
The activites we undertake are exciting, fun filled but most of all fulfilling. Our doors are open to everyone whether its playing football, being a superhero for the afternoon or being a Ghost Buster during an evening. Our overriding objective is to help and support the sick and vulnerable during diffcult times.
