MILLERS TO SUPPORT WHITE RIBBON CAMPAIGN AND BADLY NEED A WIN !

Carlton Town’s bad run of results continued this week with an extremely frustrating 3-1 defeat at the hands of Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Carlton dominated probably about 80 per cent of the game and missed a number of chances while Stocksbridge had pretty much 3 attacks in the first half and took a 3-0 lead.

Stocksbridge were ruthless, Carlton were not and Joint managers Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey will be hoping for a change of fortunes this Saturday with Pontefract Colleries the visitors to Stoke Lane.

Carlton were loudly applauded off the pitch on Tuesday despite another defeat and many are left scratching their heads after this latest defeat, but the reality is the Millers will need to start picking up points sooner rather than later if they are to avoid a painful season.

Despite their difficult run on the pitch, the Millers continue to push their vital role in the local community and on Saturday, Carlton will show their support for White Ribbon day which is on 25th November.

Rob McCleary, Communications Manager at Gedling Borough Council is working with club secretary Trevor Wells (pictured) and on Saturday Carlton players and officials will get behind the campaign which highlights the evil of violence against women and girls in society.

Kick off on Saturday is at 3pm at Stoke Lane and more important information regarding White Ribbon day is below.
