MILLERS WELL BEATEN AT BELPER IN WORST WEEK OF THE SEASON TO DATE

Belper Town took revenge indeed for their defeat at Carlton earlier in the season with a comprehensive 4-0 win at the Raygar stadium to make it back to back defeats for the Millers for the first time in the league this season.

Quality play from the home side combined with some poor defending from Carlton, both played their part in the 4-0 score line and Carlton offered little of an attacking threat either with Belper’s keeper pretty much untroubled throughout.

Massive credit to Kevin Bastos who was superb for the home side with a fine brace and praise to Carlton’s supporters who turned up in numbers and kept singing till the end, despite their team going down to a heavy defeat.

Carlton have an outstanding away record this season with 8 wins and a draw from 13 games, but the reality is, this was an afternoon and indeed a week to forget and Tommy Brookbanks gave an honest assessment when he spoke to John Bryson from Carlton Town Tv after the game.
