NARROW DEFEAT FOR MILLERS AS HUNT GOES ON FOR A ACADEMY PHYSIO !

The Millers went down at Belper on Saturday by two goals to one and drop just outside the playoff zone after their second defeat in a row, which comes on the back of an outstanding start to the season, which at one point saw them leading the way, after near relegation last season.

Belper had the best of the first half and went in at the break 2-0 up but Carlton battled back in the second half and after Tom Maddison (pictured) had converted a penalty, Carlton’s tails were up and Niall Davey nearly secured Carlton a point in the last minute, but credit to the Belper keeper for an outstanding save.

On another important matter, Carlton are still trying to employ a Physio for their Academy side. This is a paid for position and is to cover Academy matches every fortnight at Stoke Lane on a Wednesday afternoon, applications can be sent to info@carltontownfc.co.uk and the applicants must be qualified.

Finally there were no winners on the clubs Tote competition and the prize jumps to approximately £860 this coming Saturday and Chairman Mick Garton will be on hand to collect payments and players will also have the opportunity to purchase extra numbers if they so wish for Saturday’s draw.
