NEW LOOK PROGRAMME IMPRESSIVE BUT IT’S THE GINGERBREADS WHO SHINE ON THE PITCH!

Massive credit to new programme editor Joe Standon for the new look Matchday Programme, but sadly for the Millers, it was one of few positives on the night as they lost 2-0 in the big local Derby against Grantham Town at Stoke Lane.

Carlton boosted by Saturday’s 4-0 win at Shildon would have been hoping to continue where they left off, but it was Grantham who dominated from the start and when Mike Emery failed to collect Dan Brown’s pressured back header, Lee Shaw picked up the loose ball to put Grantham ahead.

Lee Shaw then completed a brace when through on goal in the second half and despite a late Carlton rally when they had decent chances to get back into the game, it was on the night to little to late.

A massive thankyou to Nottingham Forest legend Nigel Jemson who stepped in at the last minute as pre match guest speaker and proved most entertaining and a big thankyou to the 206 who attended the game making it 3 gates out of 4 over the 200 mark for Carlton’s first four league games this season.

Carlton are at home again on Saturday when Sheffield Fc are the visitors to Stoke Lane.

Joint Manager Mark Harvey gives his thoughts to Carlton Town Tv after the 2-0 defeat.
