NEW VOLUNTEER KEEN TO GET INVOLVED AT STOKE LANE !

Carlton Town are delighted to announce that Loughborough University student Ben Chambers as agreed to join the club in a voluntary marketing role next season to help the club recover from the Corona virus and move forward.

This website understands there is optimism on the horizon from Dave Hodgson with final paperwork today being submitted to Sport England for Financial help which is the final documentation needed to process the claim and this website will keep Supporters right up to date.

The club has apart from the 100 club and some help from Gedling Borough Council not had any income stream since March and Ben Chambers is hopeful he can come on board and help with that.

We caught up with Ben and he told us “I am delighted to be joining the club in a voluntary role as Marketing manager, but also getting involved as much as I can on matchdays to help push the club for a promotion challenge during the 2020/2021 season”

“I am 19 years old and currently studying International Business and have been looking for a club to join and gain some experience in the business department of the football industry”

“Being robbed of the playoffs opportunity after struggling in relegation battles for several years now, it was clear to me that the club has a great ambition which is exactly the sort of club I want to be involved with”

“I feel that with my passion to the game and my growing knowledge in all the aspects of football, I can offer just as much such as previous volunteers such as Sam, Stuart, Vinny and Dean who I have heard only good things about”

“Speaking to Mick, I have been able to infer how well the club is run and all the hard work that goes into improving it on a day to day basis and I think that now more than ever the club is going to need an extra push from everyone to come out the other side of the pandemic stronger”

“The pandemic could break some clubs and I want to make sure that I do everything I can to make sure we go into next season in a strong position and so I will do my upmost to secure any Sponsorships I can, help improve the club’s social media presence, help out where I can on Matchdays and really immerse myself into the club”

“I hope that my ideas and growing knowledge in the industry can aid the club in progressing and with this I am extremely excited to start and see the players in action in the not to distant future hopefully”

“Any grants secured by Dave Hodgson will give a massive boost to the club, but they are a one off cash injection and hopefully the appointment of Ben to support our commercial team here will help improve our income stream and the appointment sits nicely on the back of the great work that Dave and Brian Dennett, our Commercial Manager are doing” added Chairman Mick Garton.
