OUTSTANDING MILLERS BACK UP TO SECOND AFTER THIRD SUCCESSIVE AWAY WIN!
Carlton Town moved up to second in the table after an outstanding 3-0 win at high flying Stamford. Goals from Luke Smithson, Toby Moore and Tyle Blake saw Carlton make a quick fire recovery from Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat to Worksop Town.
Carlton do have a decent record at Stamford, but not many people would have expected a 3-0 away win and with Tommy Brookbanks in bed sick , it was left to Mark Harvey (pictured) to take the team and along with the coaching staff help lead the Millers to a fine win.
He said on Twitter afterwards “Now that’s a performance. The whole squad left everything on the pitch, stayed together and deserved the win”
Carlton are back at Stoke Lane on Saturday when Newcastle Town are the visitors for a 3pm kick off, while the Academy season kick off their season today at 1pm at Stoke Lane, admission is free !
