OUTSTANDING MILLERS MAKE IT 8 GOALS IN 5 DAYS WITH NONE CONCEDED!

Another outstanding performance from Carlton Town saw them climb back into a playoff spot after they defeated Glossop North End 4-0 in front of 126 at Stoke Lane.

Arron Opoku got a hatrick in midweek, but this this time it was Tyler Blake’s turn to walk away with the Matchball after receiving the sponsors man of the match award and scoring a hatrick himself in this 4-0 win.

Blake (pictured) was presented with his award, a giant box of Milk Tray by the Chairman who sponsored the game and he now has 20 goals for the season and is totally justifying the club’s decision to put him on a contract for the remainder of this season and beyond.

The team are flying at the moment and are hoping that the season doesn’t get suspended because of the Corona virus.

There is a general feeling in the Millers camp that the league management committee made the right decision in allowing fixtures to continue at this level and that the league have put appropriate safe guards in place for clubs and a general view that once fixtures are suspended, it will prove challenging to get them restarted, conversations today also pointed to the fact that in general, there may be more bankruptcies than deaths if a balance is not found, but obviously health should be the priority and people are massively sympathetic to the dilemma the league finds itself in, dammed if they cancel games and dammed if they don’t!

On a positive note, Carlton are truly a pleasure to watch at the moment and Carlton Town Tv’s Neil Ward was on hand after the 4-0 win to catch up with hatrick hero Tyler Blake and Joint Manager Mark Harvey, Eamonm Dumbfree was no where in site, maybe in self isolation after a week with Alan Brazil ?

Carlton are back in action on Tuesday in a big playoff game at Stoke Lane v Belper Town 7.45pm, unless the powers that be decide otherwise, watch this space !
