POINTS SHARED WITH PONTEFRACT AT BASFORD UNITED

A crowd of 134 saw Carlton draw 0-0 with Pontefract Collieries at Basford United, many fans told the club hierarchy during the night that although they disagreed with the decision to have play the game at Basford, they had come to show their support knowing the financial implications for the club having to play any games away from Stoke Lane.

The club is grateful to them and although the score remained 0-0, there was a fair amount of entertainment in a game where the Millers shaded the first half, but Pontefract had the better of the second in truth.

Club Chairman Mick Garton took on media duties for the evening and spoke to first team coach Darren Gee and midfielder Greg Tempest post match.

Carlton move up a place to 8th following the 0-0 draw, while Pontefract move up to 4th.
