POPULAR FORMER MILLER RETURNS TO STOKE LANE !

The club are delighted to announce the return to Stoke Lane of former star Alex Troke from Ilkeston Town Fc.

The former Notts County youngster helped the Millers to Nottinghamshire Senoir cup wins in the 2013/ 2014 and 2016/2017 seasons and played a particular pivotal role in the 2017 win against Basford United at Meadow Lane.

From memory, Troke was down as a substitute for the final , but an injury to Niall Davey in the warm up meant he started the game and by that twist of fate, had a brilliant game and was a key reason Carlton the massive underdogs in the final won the game 4-1.

He went off to have fantastic success with both Coalville Town and Ilkeston Town, but after a spell on the sidelines at Ilkeston following injury, he has decided he wants to come back to Carlton Town and help the Millers fight for survival at step 4.

Tommy Brookbanks told us, “He has taken a substantial reduction in wages to come back, because he has a special place in his heart for the club given his previous happy times here”

“I would like to thank Ilkeston Town owner Andy Nally for his dealings with me to allow this to happen as Alex was on contract and of course Alex himself, they have both been brilliant to be honest and on behalf of the club, I would like to express my gratitude, everyone knows the situation we are in and positive help is greatly appreciated ”

Louis Czerwak whose loan spell with Eastwood Ctfc has come to an end is now set to join Shirebrook on loan Brookbanks also told us today.
