PROBLEMS WITH APP BUT CHRISTMAS DRAW GOES AHEAD PLUS UPDATE FROM STOKE LANE !
Carlton Town’s main sponsors Msr Newsgroup have had some major issues with their App over the last 2 or 3 days, which seem to have occurred following a software update over the weekend.
The result being a number of supporters have brought Christmas draw tickets but many have been unable to do.
The problem seems to be a complex one with Shannon Garton daughter of the Chairman for example not able to buy tickets on her own Apple device, but when trying on her dads it worked.
The Supporters Club have reported similar issues, so a decision has been taken.
The App server is still working hard behind the scenes to resolve the issue, but if anyone can not make purchases by 12 Noon tomorrow (Wednesday 16th December) they can from that time phone the club’s office on 0115 9581735 and make purchases over the phone giving credit card or debit card details and an e mail address.
The reality is some will be able to purchase on the App, but some unless rectified will not, so please try again first and if unsuccessful, give us a ring on the above number.
Tickets are £10 each or 3 for £20 and prizes include T20 Cricket Corporate box Hospitality for two at Trent Bridge for a Nottinghamshire game in 2021, a cracking Chocolate hamper, super Red Wine and Gin gift sets and more Chocolate and Alcohol offerings with Sponsorship from Creative Gift Supplies and Msr Newsgroup.
The club has not asked Hospitality Venus for prizes this year given the shocking year they have had, with many fighting for their very futures following draconian measures imposed on them by the government due to Covid 19.
In other News, the club would like to say a massive thankyou to Nick Hawkins who for the second time as donated his £25 winnings on the 100 club back to the club, what a top man and the club appreciates Nicks kindness.
Most of you will probably know by now that fixtures are set to commence again this weekend and we can reveal that Tommy, Mark and the players are eager to play the Loughborough fixture and as we go to press, we have been told by our own Mark Harvey that the game will go ahead.
Away Supporters are banned in tier 3 areas and Club houses have to close, so the immediate future does not look bright for clubs or supporters, but at least they will be allowed in to home games and this website can reveal that the club are currently talking to the local authorities in terms of what they can and can not do at home games starting with the Boxing Day clash with Ilkeston.
What we do know is that the Ilkeston game will be all ticket and restricted to 200 spectators, more details will follow in the coming days!
