TOMMY GIVES UPDATE FOR SUPPORTERS AHEAD OF WEEKEND OPENER !

Carlton Town Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks has today given this website an update on the squad  ahead of Saturday’s opener at Stoke Lane against Ossett United.

Arron o’ Connor is struggling with a knee injury and will not be fit for the season’s opening games and in response, Tommy today comfirmed that the club have signed Mansfield Town striker Jack Deakin (pictured) on an initial months loan, Jack played against the Millers in the Senior Cup Final at Basford and is one of three players who played on that night to be offered pro terms ahead of the new season .

Two more players have gone out on loan on a dual signed basis as Tommy and Mark trim their starting squad ahead of that first game. Johnny White and Luis Parkes have joined Dunkirk.

Tommy told us, “both players have featured regularly in pre season and done well, but do need game time so we have made the decision for now to help them get that with Dunkirk, they are both talented lads”

“I would expect there may be one or two more situations where we use the dual signing situation this season due to the amount of away travel, we have had to go with a slightly bigger squad. I would like to place on record my thanks to Nigel Clough and Mansfield Town for their help in getting Jack to Stoke Lane “concluded the Joint Millers Chief.

Tommy has spoken exclusively to Director of Football Darryl Claypole for the Re launch of Carlton Town Tv which Darryl is heading up and that along will other interviews will be put out before Saturday’s big kick off .
