TOTE JACKPOT HITS THE BIG 1K / NEWS UPDATE FROM STOKE LANE!
Carlton Town’s first ever Tote competition as this week hit the £1,000 prize payout if someone matches the first two numbers out of this Saturday’s National Lottery draw.
Mark Steggles came the closest to winning last Saturday, he has numbers 13 and 31 but 13 and 34 were the winning numbers.
Grant Brindley won the biggest prize at the club on Bonus Ball £1,500 a few years ago and Danny Elliot won about half that amount a couple of years ago.
Exisiting players can have extra goes this coming Saturday by picking any two random numbers from 1 to 59 at £2 a piece and players are asked to bring payments up to date by seeing the Chairman in the bar before kick off on Saturday.
The club are hopeful the game will go ahead despite more heavy rain, Jamie has worked extensively all this week on the playing surface with impressive results.
To back up an item announced on our twitter feed, Jack Steggles (pictured) won the November Carlton Town player of the month award and deservedly received some Bowland Beer, although wether Joint managers Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey will let him drink it is open to debate 😀
A few prizes are still to be claimed from this years Christmas draw but Mapperley All Stars have claimed a number of prizes this week with Wayne J (Tilly) winning superb Christmas hospitality at Trent Bridge and Andy Thorn winning a meal for two at Wetherspoons in Carlton.

B4 Painting are sponsoring the Matchball for the Belper Town clash on February 1st , so a big thankyou also to Mark Benner, but the club are seeking a sponsor for the clash with Chasetown on Saturday 18th January.
Finally this website can confirm that the club have today agreed terms with Big Bang Fireworks for another Fireworks Extravaganza with this years event taking place on Friday 30th October.
