TOUGH TRIP TO BELPER NEXT UP FOR DEFEATED MILLERS

Carlton Town suffered their first league defeat of 2024 after wins against North Ferriby and Winterton were followed by a draw at Stocksbridge last Saturday.

The Millers went down 3-1 at home to Liversage on Tuesday night and also had their lowest gate of the season, with the Millers game clashing with Arsenal’s visit to Nottingham Forest, the main negative factor.
Only 112 made it to the Bill Stokeld Stadium which was also the lowest league gate in the league this season, the distance away fans from the North have to travel to the Bill Stokeld Stadium is a second significant factor, particularly for midweek games.
It was an opportunity missed for Carlton to get back into the Playoffs however after their excellent start to the new year and they have a tough trip indeed on Saturday when they visit 5th placed Belper Town, who will be looking for revenge following their defeat at Stoke Lane earlier in the campaign.

A massive thanks to Dean Gripton for sponsoring the Matchball for the Tuesday night clash.

The Millers now have another rearranged Tuesday night fixture on Tuesday 13th February when playoff contenders Pontefract Collieries are the visitors to Stoke Lane.

John Bryson was on duty for Carlton Town Tv during the 3-1 defeat to Liversage and spoke to assistant manager Andy Clerke in the boardroom after the game.
