UKRAINE WIN THE TROPHY FOR PEACE AT STOKE LANE IN THE SUNSHINE

The sun came out for the big Ukraine charity event at Stoke Lane and fittingly it was Ukraine who won this years event defeating England 3-0.

The Carlton Commitee came out in numbers to support the event, with Gaz Bee heavily involved with the fund raising, Lou Lardi taking photographs, Tim Bee one of the volunteering match officials and Chairman Mick Garton, Commercial Manager Boatsy and Kelly all in attendance supporting the event along with Carlton Assistant Manager Andy Clerke.

Nib Shyrokan a lad who has come to the Uk as part of a resettlement programme because of the war, was man of the match and impressive indeed on what was a important fund raising afternoon for the Ukrainian community in their quest to get aid across to their homeland.

After the event at Carlton Town, the players and many supporters moved on to the Raglan Road Pub on Derby Road in Nottingham City Centre for the evening event.

Taz representing the Ukrainian community thanked Retro Sweet Kings, part of the online company equally owned by Chairman Mick Garton and former Miller John Hickling for sponsoring the event and for the support given by Colette and later Ged at the evening at Ragland Road.

As we go to press , this website can reveal at least 3k was raised from the first part of the event and Taz has promised us a full report in due course.

Finally we bring you the final part of the presentation which includes words from the Millers Chairman.
