UNDER 16s WIN TOURNAMENT IN SPAIN BUT FIRST TEAM GO DOWN TO AFC MANSFIELD!

Many of the Carlton Town faithful were pinning their hopes on an Easter Monday win over AFC Mansfield after the Millers beat the visitors not so long ago in the Senior Cup,  but Carlton’s awful home form let them down again and with only one point from a possible 27, Carlton are in their worst run of form that many can remember.

They still sit one place off the bottom of the table due to the fact Gresley are struggling as well and the reality is no one at this minute knows wether one team or two will be relegated on the basis of league positions, bearing in mind Afc Mansfield have failed ground grading.

One thing looks certain and that is barring a miracle , Carlton will end in the bottom two and can pretty much only stay up by default.

It is a season most involved with Carlton will no doubt want to erase from the memory, but the Millers have one last throw of the dice at Markse this coming Saturday.

On a much more positive note, Carlton do have some decent youngsters with the Academy having a much improved season year on year and news is coming back from Spain that the clubs under 16s have won an international tournament 5-4 on penalties after topping their group and then drawing the final against an Italian side 0-0.

We await full details from our colleagues out there, but will bring you the full story in due course !
