WORLD EXCLUSIVE / BREAKING NEWS / DOUBLE JABBED AND BACK , THE MILLER MOUSE!

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton turned up for his first meeting with Boatsy in his role as Commercial and Marketing Manager and Josh Hodgson in his new role as Senior Press Correspondent.

Also in the room was a big fella who as not been seen for a while, the Miller Mouse was back! Boatsy would not reveal who the new Miller Mouse was and all Josh would comfirm to the Chairman is that he was double jabbed and able to resume duties.

In his audition for the Chairman for his 2021 debut on Saturday against Loughborough, he frightened a few kids, threw a few air punches, but it was quietly explained to him he was to be family friendly and loveable, Boatsy explained the role to the new incumbent and the Miller Mouse then gave a big cuddle to Boatsy’s mum.

The message had clearly got across and Saturday’s mascots courtesy of Goodsoul Promotions will be the first to benefit from his addition to the Miilers Matchday team.

Boatsy’s first report for the Chairman was full of positives, Matchball and Mascot Sponsors secured for the next 4 games and 4 of the 5 real ales for the Firework Extravaganza and Kidsgrove Fa Trophy game sponsored, a big thankyou to AR Signs who have been the latest to step up to the plate, just one more needed.

Alan Murphy was also at the ground, one wonders if he had removed the costume before resurfacing, probably not, but he did the comfirm the October 150 club draw would take place after Saturday’s game. The club would ask that all the new participants who have joined to please make sure they have set up their direct debits going forward. The club will carry out a new audit for the November draw and release any numbers not being paid for !

In other news, Joint manager Tommy Brookbanks and Chairman Mick Garton have both added significant prizes to the Bonfire Extravaganza auction with Tommy donating a cricket back signed by two massive Nottinghamshire legends, one could argue possibly their two finest ever players, Gary Sobers and Richard Hadlee and Mick has offered 2 places in his company’s corporate box at Nottingham Forest for their big Championship clash with Coventry City in the new year, this website understands Boatsy will be starting both fantastic prizes at £150.

While donating the latest prize, Tommy asked us to remind supporters how much the managers and players appreciated the increased level of support at all of our games so far this season, he very much hopes that will continue going forward, with Saturdays game against Loughborough Dynamoes the next fixture on the horizon, complete with the Miller Mouse !
