WYKES EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH HARVEY GETS AN INSIGHT IN TO HIS FIRST FEW WEEKS AT STOKE LANE!

Today, press officer Dean Wykes held an exclusive interview with Joint manager Mark Harvey who expressed his enjoyment of his time so far at Stoke Lane as pre season is well underway.
With Tommy Brookbanks already being a well regarded figure at Carlton Town and his return seeming almost like a homecoming, Dean posed the question to Mark about how he has settled in to Carlton Town with this being his first time here, the response was a positive one!
His apprehensiveness was mentioned during his first interview with Carlton Town Tv with it being a new challenge on a limited budget but Mark states that it has been a breath of fresh air and he is thoroughly enjoying working with a young group of players who are determined to succeed and buy in to the philosophy both Mark and Tommy bring with them.
Having now run multiple pre season training sessions along with new coach Paul Rockley, Mark gave an insight into the aspects that have been involved which hasn’t only been fitness sessions, however mentioned that they are an integral part towards the position they want to be in come the 1st game of the season. It was felt important that all the players train together, keepers included, to build morale and create a positive vibe amongst players highlighting the importance to include ball based sessions for enjoyment.
It has been well published that many players have entered the dressing room, both new and old. Mark couldn’t speak highly enough of the attitudes of all of the players and is sure that this will contribute to a successful season. The senior players have played a crucial role in leading sessions with many players attending who are keen to be a part of the development. Following a fabulous campaign with the academy last season it is understood that Josh Harris has been involved with 1st team training and will be given the chance to express his talent during pre season games that are fast approaching with the hope of being a crucial part of the team for the season.
When Mark was questioned on his thoughts towards the pre season games, he identified them to be a crucial part of the season as a whole as it offers himself and Tommy, as well as the coaches a real chance to distinguish which players will be the foundations to their side. The Carlton Town 11 will differ massively from game to game as it is important to get a good look at all the players whether old, new or on trial in order to be prepared best they can come the 17th August when the league begins.
