Reserves bounce back

Again another fantastic reaction to a poor result in our last league match!

The reserves went up against  Bakewell in the return cup fixture, Bakewell  are currently sitting pretty at the top of their league and are renowned for scoring plenty of goals. As Carlton experienced in the away tie.

Unlike the away tie & other than Isaac Hayes,  Paul had a full squad to select from.

Normally i am  stating how unlucky  the opposition are not to take anything from the half or the game, however for the first time this season i can honestly say the 5-1 result was never in doubt!

Bakewell started well and went 1-0 up in the first 10 minutes, where their striker found himself with time to chip the keeper and take his goal well.

Carlton played some lovely football and moved the ball around well.

Syme & Anjola both made their debuts and both impressed! Syme scoring a Brace and was influtual in all carltons attacking play. Anjola was solid at the back.

Jack was back  in Goal, his positivity, talking and organising the team, gives the young millers the confidence to play, as well  trying to get on the score sheet himself 🙂

The squad now need to build on this and try to start having some consistency week in week out.

Next up home to Linby Colliery Saturday 30th  @ Eagle Valley, Arnold town
