WELCOME TO THE ALL NEW CARLTON TOWN GOLD WITH AN HISTORIC ANNOUNCEMENT.

Carlton Town are delighted to announce the launch of Carlton Town Gold, a fantastic lookback down memory lane.

The Millers have had a massive uptake in support in recent times and many new supporters know little of the club’s fabulous history, so on an ongoing basis throughout the year, we will release news stories from the past.

Promotions, Cup final wins and losses are all part of the fantastic story, spell binding Speakers evenings with legends of the game from the highest level also make up part of that story.

We will dip into recent history and we will go back further as things spring to mind and come to light, there is a massive story to tell about this club that was formed in 1904.

We start this wonderful new section with the night Tommy Brookbanks returned to Stoke Lane, it was a massive announcement indeed and four years on , it has been a rollercoaster.

A fantastic season pretty much assured a Play off position in year one before covid struck, along with an unbeaten run in the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup. Year two was destroyed by covid, before year three saw Tommy and Mark and their team beat a young Mansfield Town team to win in the final of the Notts Senior Cup after the Millers had defeated Nottingham Forest Under 21s in the Semi Final at Stoke Lane, the team also only missed out on the playoffs on the final day of the season after defeat at Stamford.

Year four did not go so well for numerous reasons but the Millers still reached the Final of the Senior Cup again after a fantastic performance at the One Call Stadium which saw them defeat the Stags on penalties, the Stags had several first team players in their line up which made the win all the more special.

Lose in the final the Millers did to Newark and Sherwood, who were deserved winners on the night and after a difficult league season, Carlton stayed up on the last day of the season after beating Promotion chasing Dunston 2-0 against all the odds.

That win on the last day felt like a trophy win in itself, as the Millers retained step 4 status and now a new season is upon us with the club retaining confidence in Tommy and Mark and Tommy and Mark retaining confidence in the club.

Early indications are that everyone has made the right decision, with several former senior players departing and a new and exciting young team developing with the help of local Academy Pass move and Grin who Tommy, Mark and their new Coaching team have been working with during the pre season.
The millers have started this season with 3 wins from 3 in the league and have dispatched  two teams in the Fa cup, the roller coaster continues and at the moment it is on at upward path, long may that continue !

Have a look at the super new section to bring memories back of the night Tommy returned and keep  watching for lots more archive in the coming weeks and months as we celebrate our present and our past and embrace our superb fan base which just keeps on growing.

BROOKBANKS MAKES SENSATIONAL RETURN TO STOKE LANE AND HARVEY JOINS HIM TO!
